Pr Dave Hamilton - CEO

Dave co-founded Foundation 1 in 2018 after a long career in pastoral ministry, chaplaincy, and charitable work. With degrees in theology and education, he has served in various communities across Australia, contributing to welfare programs, prison fellowship, and international mission work. Under his leadership, Foundation 1 has launched 12 community projects in South Australia and established partnerships in India, Fiji, Kenya, and Vanuatu. Passionate about community service, he envisions expanding Foundation 1 to provide essential support services nationwide.

Vyrona Parker - Board Member & Project Manager
Vyrona Parker - Board Member & Project Manager

A long-time advocate for community support, Vyrona has managed op shops and led small groups, fostering strong relationships through faith and service. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017, she credits her recovery to medical care and faith in God. Her experience in retail and community engagement has been instrumental in Foundation 1's success. She continues to serve as a board member, ensuring the organization stays aligned with its mission.

Steve brings hands-on expertise to Foundation 1, assisting with shop improvements and operational support. A former engineer and long-time charity worker, he is passionate about serving others through practical action. His deep faith and commitment to helping people makes him a valuable asset to the board.


Brendon Zilm - Board Member
Brendon Zilm - Board Member

Brendon provides spiritual guidance and strategic input to Foundation 1. With a background in engineering and a leadership role in his church, he helps maintain the organization's mission-driven approach. As a dedicated volunteer, he supports decision-making and community outreach efforts.


Anita Zilm - Board Member & Project Assistant Manager

Anita has extensive experience in retail and charity management, having worked in both for over a decade. She has completed her diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and volunteers at the Mt Barker Op Shop and Community Pantry, bringing organisational skills and a heart for service to the team.


Margaret Spencer - Board Member & Project Manager

Margaret has a background in aged care and community service, managing the Parafield Op Shop while serving as the board's minutes secretary. With extensive experience in policy writing and volunteer coordination, she plays a key role in ensuring Foundation 1 operates smoothly and effectively.


Michael Kooke - Board Member, Digital Support & COM

Michael supports Foundation 1 with design, printing, and website maintenance. His passion for mission work and community service began in his youth, leading him to play a key role in the charity's development. As a board member, he helps guide the organization's outreach efforts while staying actively involved in its day-to-day operations.
